Reactive UI with Laminar

Laminar is a Scala.js-first approach to reactive UI for the web, combining declarative presentation with logic for how to make updates based on events or other state changes. Beyond basics, lets also explore interop with JS libraries, and even concerns such as code organisation, and effective error handling practises.

This lab is all about becoming effective with the Laminar library for Scala.js: avoiding spaghetti code, managing events, and asynchronous communication with the backend. We would also consider concerns such as targeted updates to dynamic elements. Example of interop can be with jQuery widgets. This would be project based. Probably covering some sort of CRUD application with form validation, and asynchronous search. (Perhaps it can be a more whimsical domain for entertainment purposes). I have 2 years professional experience using Laminar to build business applications.

I am very interested in how people interact with technology. I believe that programming language design is critical as it is one of the key interfaces where intent and reality meet. Also fan of eating, and music.
